Amy Jackson, age 55, of Scotland, Texas passed away peacefully Saturday, October 1, 2022, at her residence after a hard fought battle with a rare bile duct cancer where she turned a three month expectancy into a year and a half, showing what a fighter she really was in anything she put her faith and mind to.
Vigil service and rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022, followed by Mass being celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Moloney, Pastor of St. Mary's and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Amy was born November 9, 1966 in Olney, Texas to Anton August "Tony" Wolf and Mary Gladys Vieth Wolf.
Amy attended school in Windthorst and then graduated from Wichita Falls High School. After graduation she earned her cosmetology license from Aladdin Beauty College in Wichita Falls. Amy was a beautician for several years. She worked as a nurses aide at the Wichita Falls State Hospital and later was a plant worker for Howmet in Wichita Falls.
Amy married Lanny Jackson on December 31, 1986 in Wichita Falls.
Amy loved shopping, especially for bargains and could always come up with beautiful designs and combinations. She dressed her children very well as they were growing up. Amy was a talented interior decorator. She loved camping and spending time with her family. She also served as the room mother for all three of her children and made the best cookies along with any meal of your desire. Most importantly, she was the best wife and mother to her three beautiful children and husband, as well as a great friend to everyone she met along the way.
Amy was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters Society and taught CCD Classes and was a team leader on the ACTS Retreat Group. She was very faithful and found crosses in some of the most unusual places that she said always reminded her that everything was going to be alright through God's love. Amy also was a member of the Scotland Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Lanny Jackson of Scotland; two sons, Christopher Jackson and wife, Emily of Iowa Park, and Justin Jackson of Wichita Falls; one daughter, Candice Cartwright and husband, David of Wichita Falls; mother, Gladys Wolf of Windthorst; four brothers, Sammy Wolf of Scotland, Raymond Wolf of Sulphur Springs, Kurt Wolf and wife, Summer of Scotland, and Tony Wolf and wife, Tiffany of Windthorst; two sisters, Molly Tisdale of Denton and Patty Schenk of Archer City; two grandchildren and two on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tony Wolf; and two brothers-in-law, Steve Tisdale and Jake Schenk.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310 or to Cancer Research.
