Archer City,
Alvina "Vicki" Crow, age 82, of Archer City passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
A Vigil service and rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst with Rev. Michael Moloney, O.F.S. Parochial Administrator of St. Mary's and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Aulds Funeral Home.
Vicki was born October 14, 1932 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to William Joseph Derichsweiler and Elizabeth Catherine Bindel Derichsweiler.
She and William J. "Bill" Crow were married on September 15, 1951 in Windthorst. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2006.
Vicki was employed by Archer City Independent School District from 1972 until 2000 when she retired. She was very active with her children and grandchildren in their school and sports activities. She was an avid Wildcat and Trojan Fan! Vicki loved to sew and cook. She also was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include one son, Bill Crow and wife, Robie of Wichita Falls; one daughter, Beverly Crow of Windthorst; son-in-law, David Schreiber of Windthorst; three sisters, Della Knabe of Argyle, Texas, Delores Zimmerer and husband, Richard of Muenster and Cathy Hess and Roger Ramsey of Lewisville; sister-in-law, Jane Crow of Iowa Park; four grandchildren, Andrew Schreiber and wife, Karie of Archer City, Amber Morrison and husband, Blake of Holliday, Todd Schreiber and fiance, Courtney Johnson of Cedar Park, and Leslie Leggett and husband, Clint of Wichita Falls; seven great-grandchildren, Kylie and River Schreiber, Ty, Cole and Gage Morrison, and Hadley and Chase Leggett.
She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Becky Schreiber on July 8, 2011; two brothers and one sister.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Knabe, Clint Leggett, Jake Lewis, Blake Morrison, Andrew Schreiber and Todd Schreiber.
