Alvin Raymond Cox, age 80, of Archer City, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at his residence.

No services are planned at this time.  Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Alvin was born August 18, 1940 in Lueders, Texas to the late Willard Raymond Cox and Ruth Bates Cox.

He attended school in Holliday and Archer City. He honorably served his country in the National Guard from 1961 until 1966.

Alvin married Dolores Day on August 13, 1966 in Archer City, Texas.  He was a loving husband and father and had a very funny sense of humor.

Alvin was a hard worker who was employed in the oilfield for several years, Texas Department of Transportation and later was a self-employed contract pumper.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores Cox of Archer City; and daughter, Kimbra King and husband, Joseph of Granbury.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Iris Nadine Cox Van Hemert on November 28, 2020.
