Loved by many, our dear Jean left this earth to meet our Lord in Heaven on August 11, 2022 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Born Alice Jean Dennis to Alpha Omega "Jude" Dennis and John Madison Dennis on October 12, 1933 in Sherman, Texas.

Jean married Don McAden on February 9, 1951 and raised three children in Gordonville, Texas.  The family moved to Wichita Falls in 1972.

Jean had a strong faith in Christ and her servant heart led her to volunteer within her church and community.  She served 5,000 hours as a volunteer with Wichita General Hospital.

She treasured her relationships and especially being a grandma to seven grandchildren. She was always available to help when needed and they loved being with her.  As they grew older she was able to share many words of wisdom with them from her life experiences.   There are so many things that are etched in their memories of Grandma Jean, especially her wonderful cooking and her beautiful cross stitch collection.

In 2007, Jean moved to Rolling Meadows Retirement Community where her servant heart and outgoing personality led her to be an ambassador, who had the role of making the new residents feel comfortable and welcomed.  She also started her ministry of visiting residents in the Gables every Sunday afternoon.  She loved her life at Rolling Meadows and was a loyal participant of everything they offered.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her children: Donna Lowry and husband Alan of Franklin, Tennessee, Denise Robinson and husband David of Austin, Texas and Dennis McAden and wife Christy of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Those missing their Grandma Jean are her grandchildren: Marta Lowry, Paul Robinson, Amanda Robinson, Lindsay Cox and husband Ryan, Ross McAden, Jaxon McAden, Nic McAden along with five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Janice Smart and brother, John Dennis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jean is predeceased by her sister, Joan Reid.

The family wants to express their appreciation for the loving care and kindness provided from the staff at Rolling Meadows, Wichita Home Health Service and Hospice of Wichita Falls. Donations can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls and Rolling Meadows Good Samaritan Fund.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Allison Cemetery in Gordonville, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
