Ellen Stephens Puder

Ellen Stephens Puder, age 65, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away February 24, 2013, in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Grace Community Church in Archer City with Dan Heil of Houston, Texas and Mike Sanders, Pastor of Grace Community Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Aulds Funeral Home.

Ellen was born October 8, 1947 in Archer City to Charles Raymond Stephens and Vera Lee Walters. She was a 1965 graduate of Archer City High School where she was a twirler. She then attended Draughon’s Business College in Wichita Falls.

Ellen was employed for Geico Insurance with the Bob Puder Agency from 1971 until 2003.

She and Bob Puder were married August 12, 1974 in Wichita Falls. She was not only Bob’s wife but also his best friend.

Ellen was a wonderful mother who enjoyed spending her time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the casino, going out to eat, and watching late night television. She always looked forward to attending her class reunion and visiting with her former classmates.

Survivors include her husband, Bob of Wichita Falls; five sons, Chuck Cooper and wife, Codie of Archer City, Roy Puder and wife, Rhonda of San Antonio, Rick Puder of Long Island, New York, Mark Puder and wife, Elena of Boston, Massachusetts, and Robert Puder and wife, Sherry of Jacksonville, North Carolina; two daughters, Charrice Gallagher and husband, Mark of Austin, Texas and Chelee Puder of Wichita Falls; eleven grandchildren, Haven, Charlie, Josie, Courtney, Stepheney, Maegan, Micah, Aaron, Eric, David and Megan; and three great-grandchildren, McKay, Lauren and Brandon.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
